Sonic, MOD Systems Team For Digital Entertainment Retail

MOD Systems, the digital entertainment retail systems developer, plans to integrate Sonic’s RoxioNow platform in a new strategic initiative between the two companies. The combined solution will enable consumers to purchase digital entertainment from retailers’ online digital download and streaming storefronts, as well as self-service, touch-screen kiosks that load to Secure Digital (SD) memory cards. The platform will be compatible with the specifications of entertainment companies Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem (DECE). Sonic and MOD Systems will announce additional details of their initiative later this year, pending the securing of license rights from content owners. MOD Systems
